The Salomon Impact 10 is a great ski boot for an intermediate to upper level skiers. It’s a great boot for those looking to move to something a bit stiffer as the impact have a 110 flex rating, but still comfortable. The Impact 10 have a very comfortable liner, and they respond well to forward pressure.
Many people do race with them, although many prefer something a bit stiffer, but you can clamp them down and go with them. Never had any problems in that department. Salomon makes great products and they are worth every penny at this price point.

Wear the Salomon Men’s Impact Pro Ski Boot to attack the powder, groomers, and everything in between. This medium-stiff flex boot’s Second Skin shell construction increases sensitivity and comfort, as well as cuts down on unnecessary weight. Three types of material make up the shell, and the thickness varies throughout, which gives you support right where you need it. Salomon’s new 3D buckles are not only micro-adjustable, these buckles can also be mounted in three different positions on the shell for complete customization. Salomon traditionally fits people with mid- to wide-volume feet, and the Impact 10 is no exception. A versatile 100mm last with roomier neoprene toe box gives you plenty of comfort, while the heat-moldable liner wraps around your midfoot and locks down your heel.
